Junior Developer (Game Studio)

We are expanding our Game Development team and looking for a Junior Game Developer to join our team. As a Junior Developer you will be part of our enthusiastic and highly skilled Game Development team developing top-notch real-money games using modern tools provided by Veikkaus’ Game Development & Tech Support Team. The games you create will be widely distributed, including both land-based and online distribution channels. 

Our typical game team consists of 2 game developers, 2 graphical artists, and a game producer. Work is usually done in a Scrum/Kanban-inspired manner, however the team has a freedom to organize their workflow as fits the best.

As a Junior Developer, you will be part of a small game development team focused on creating new and exciting games. You will design and develop game mechanics and features together with other team members. You will be coached by senior and lead developers, but you will have freedom and responsibility for your own work.

Previous Game development experience 

Typescript experience

Basic knowledge of git

Passion for creating world-class games

Good communication skills

Considered as a plus:

Familiarity with shaders (GLSL, HLSL)

Background and knowledge on C++ and JAVA

Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)

Knowledge and understanding of Linux environment

A public GitHub profile or similar

Our office is located in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki, Finland. Traditionally we have preferred on-site working, but during COVID-19 situation we have introduced various agile remote working methods.
