Epec is looking for an experienced System Design Engineer who would have a key role delivering off-highway assistant and autonomous system technologies which enhance the capabilities of our customers. The responsibilities in this role will include conceptual design based on technical specifications, designing system components to meet the set of requirements all the way to the realization of a wide variety of prototypes. Your day may include designing, modeling and simulation, prototyping, integration, and field-testing autonomous vehicles and their subsystems. In this position you will collaborate closely with our suppliers/customers as well as with electronics and software teams. This position can be in Turku, Tampere or Seinäjoki.

We prefer that you already have a few years of experience in the area of system design and are motivated, solution-driven, and capable of critical thinking in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are familiar with architecture development, requirement analysis; capture and design, model based system engineering, using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar model based design tools for algorithm development and simulation, robotic machine design and evaluation, computer vision and perception, artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, machine control systems. 

To be successful in this position you should assume significant responsibility for delivering results without forgetting the quality aspect. You will have the opportunity to work with unique advanced sensors, communication systems, and unmanned platforms. This position requires occasional travelling.
