New Product Sourcing Manager

Epec is a heavily developing and growing technology company in the area of control systems, electromobility and autonomous vehicles. Epec is strengthening its sourcing team by recruiting a New Product Sourcing Manager. You can be placed in Seinäjoki, Tampere or Turku – flexible remote work is possible at Epec.

What kind of tasks?

In your position, you will be taking care of the new product sourcing responsibility working as a part of R&D projects. You are going to search and validate (with SQ) new suppliers components, conducting RFx tendering processes and have responsibility of contract negotiations. You will also prepare new product supply management plans and BOM calculations. You shall work closely with several internal stakeholders, such as design engineers, project management, product management, production and finance.

What we expect from you?

We expect you to have an applicable education and at least 5 years of experience in similar tasks, preferably with electronic and/or electric component sourcing in a manufacturing environment. We value an analytical, proactive, and target-oriented way of working with a solid track record of successful supply chain management. You should be familiar with supplier contract management and have financial understanding of common cost structure and TOC (total cost of ownership). We appreciate flexibility, ability to handle multiple tasks and an attitude toward continuous improvement. The ability to negotiate and communicate in both English and in Finnish is essential for this position. This position requires occasional travelling.
