ITSM Application Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled and hands-on ITSM Application Specialist to join our team in Veikkaus’ Business Solutions unit. The position is permanent and fulltime. 

The Business Solutions unit is responsible for providing joint, group-level ICT and system services for the needs of various operations and subsidiary within Veikkaus. As we deploy the cutting-edge Efecte ITSM system, we need an expert who can roll up their sleeves, dive into the nitty-gritty of system implementation and configuration and build excellent digital personnel experience within the Veikkaus Group.

We expect you to have several years of technical expertise and experience of working with ITSM systems. Your area of responsibility includes the technical maintenance and development of the ITSM system. 

As an ITSM Application Specialist:

• You will be directly involved in configuring and fine-tuning the Efecte ITSM system together with your colleagues and the vendor. Your expertise will ensure seamless deployment and optimal performance.
• Customization and Enhancements: Collaborate with stakeholders to customize the ITSM system according to specific business needs. Implement enhancements and improvements as required.
• Incident and Problem Management: Take charge of incident resolution, problem analysis, and root cause identification within the ITSM framework.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, processes, and best practices.
• You actively participate in the development of your own and your team’s operations and service processes.
• You participate in the team’s operational planning and cost monitoring of your area of responsibility.
• You participate in projects within your area of responsibility. 

From the person selected for the position, we require:

• Good documentation, communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving and organisational skills and a positive attitude in a changing operating environment.
• Previous experience in hands-on responsibilities with ITSM and/or ESM systems, including CMDB expertise, integration skills.
• Good oral and written communication in both Finnish and English. 
• IT Service Management Competence e.g. ITIL and SIAM. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent competence acquired in some other way. 

As strong advantages, we consider:

• Competence in identity and access rights management.
• Experience and knowledge of one or more of the following systems: Efecte, Oracle Integration Cloud. 
• IT architecture expertise. 
• Experience and ability to operate in an international group environment.
• Experience in ITSM/ESM implementation projects is also considered an advantage.
