Our international customer, Uponor, is looking for an experienced

INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES MANAGER, Vantaa

to help grow and lead the team that provides network systems, physical and cloud computing infrastructure, desktop applications and client security that run our global business. Uponor operates high-performance data centers and multiple cloud providers supporting multiple applications, including a mature Oracle EBS platform. A global network connects private data centers and public cloud infrastructure with multiple business offices and manufacturing facilities around the globe. The Manager leads the strategy, development, implementation, and support of network systems, desktop applications, client security, and configuration that run our global business.

This role is accountable for leading a team of engineers in the design, architecture, delivery and support of infrastructure solutions to satisfy all of our global application, data hosting needs, desktop, telecommunications, and network needs. You will be responsible for the technical leadership and well-being of a group of engineers responsible for a delivering a robust foundation for the compute and storage workloads that power Uponor’s business.

To succeed in this role, you have several years of experience in IT business and infrastructure. You have leadership experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts. Besides people management skills, you also have previous experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing computer hardware, printers, configuration, software, operating systems and network connectivity. You are capable of executing IT initiatives in complex and dynamic environments. You communicate fluently in English; Finnish is beneficial.

Competences that help you succeed:

– Ability to lead a team of infrastructure engineers to deliver foundational compute and storage capacity, workplace and network solutions to stakeholders across the Uponor organization

– Ability to coach the team to build and maintain software to automate the management, provisioning, and operations of this infrastructure

– Lead capacity planning for both short and long-term growth

– Ability to develop a team of world-class engineers through 1-1’s, motivating, coaching, and career advocacy

– Ability to drive project execution ensuring on time and on budget project/program delivery. Responsible for forecasting, reconciling and reporting team’s financial performance

Technical understanding:

– Technical knowledge of Windows and Linux server engineering, database operations, virtualization, storage, infrastructure security, and Cloud and Data Center solutions

– Knowledge of network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless AP and Controllers, Load balancers, WAN accelerators, Content filters and Unified Communications

– Knowledge of IP security implementation, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering

– Knowledge of MPLS, BGP & Internet Exchange Peering, QoS

– Knowledge of telephony systems and Voice over IP

– Knowledge of enterprise class desktop software such as Windows 10 and Mac OS X, antivirus, remote management and troubleshooting, asset management and inventory, printing and call center management
