CLOUD ENGINEER, AWS AND DEVOPS, Vantaa

The IT organization of Uponor is responsible for Enterprise Applications, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture and IT Sourcing. IT organization in Uponor employs around 100 persons worldwide and operates in 30 different countries. IT organization needs to evolve to support Uponor’s digital transformation. We are now offering an opportunity for a forward-looking IT professional to become part of this change.

Cloud engineer’s responsibility is to lead our Amazon Web Services cloud platform management and operations. You will participate closely to Uponor’s digital product and service development projects and operations as an IT team member. You will also act as an ambassador of DevOps. You will be a member of Cloud Governance work and a key player for Uponor’s Process Digitalization team. You will report to Manager, Digitalization.

Your responsibilities include:

– Managing and operating cloud subscription. 

– Account structure, IAM, shared cloud services, network, security, cost management, etc. 

– Building and maintaining automated deployments. 

– Configuring and taking responsibility of CI/CD pipelines. 

– Supporting other cloud developers to take advantage of DevOps.

– Installing and configuring solutions.

Requirements to succeed:

– AWS Cloud platform management and operations work experience. 

– DevOps background or related work experience to both develop and support others to develop CI/CD pipelines as well as manage templates (Cloud Formation, Terraform).

– Experience of managing / developing online applications, micro service or API-based solutions.

– Experience / interest to learn analytics data ingestion, storage and processing as cloud platform service.

– Linux knowledge is as an asset.

You may be in the earlier stages of your career or already having solid proven record of accomplishment. You have an active, problem-solving attitude and you take accountability of your work. You are customer-focused and you have genuine interest to learn and develop your own competences. You communicate fluently in English and possess good presentation skills to deliver key messages for less technical audience. You enjoy building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. You are capable of working in virtual organizations and able to travel occasionally when working on global projects. You have completed Bachelor degree level of relevant field or have gained similar work experience.
