Securing PowerShell
This 4 day instructor-led course is designed for IT Professionals who want to take advantage of PowerShell and PowerShell automation in their organizations, but want to ensure they are being as secure as possible. A great deal of PowerShell is secure by design, but there are plenty of areas where you can take a few extra steps to increase security. This course will explain and demonstrate how far you can go to secure PowerShell and to use PowerShell securely. The course will be taught in English using Windows PowerShell 5.1 in a domain environment as the foundation with plenty of hands-on opportunities.
## Requirements
Attendees should have fundamental PowerShell experience. They should know how to manage remote systems with PowerShell. They should also have basic PowerShell scripting experience. - Code Signing
- Adding Support for WhatIf
- Writing Secure PowerShell Code
- Adding Logging to Your Code
- Distributing Code with a Private Repository
## Meet Your Instructor
Jeffery Hicks is an IT veteran with almost 30 years of experience, much of it spent as an IT infrastructure consultant specializing in Microsoft server technologies with an emphasis in automation and efficiency. He is a multi-year recipient of the Microsoft MVP Award. He works today as an independent author, teacher and consultant. Jeff has taught and presented on PowerShell and the benefits of automation to IT Pros worldwide. He has authored and co-authored a number of books, writes for numerous online sites and print publications, a Pluralsight author, and a frequent speaker at technology conferences and user groups worldwide.
