Roima Intelligence’s Process Business Area is looking for a Junior System Specialist to join the team. In this role you will start your journey with Roima by getting familiar with Aveva MES platforms through our internal training. Eventually you will join project teams in varying food, forest and technology industry customer projects with the support of experienced colleagues. As you develop further in the role you will broaden your responsibilities within the projects including designing, implementing and configuring MES-solutions according to the client's needs. Your final role may also be adaptable according to your strengths and interests. AVEVA’s products are one of the world’s leading solutions in the manufacturing scene used by for example Coca-Cola, Nucor, Arla Foods, Valmet Automotive and Apetit.

We are looking for junior applicants from relevant educational backgrounds such as IT, automation or industrial engineering. We hope you know the basics of coding and relational databases (SQL or similar) through your studies or internships. We do not require prior work experience with MES-solutions as long as you have the willingness to constantly learn more and become a professional in digital manufacturing operations. You might benefit for example from summer jobs in a factory setting or automation/software developer-positions, but most importantly we would be happy to hear about motivation to grow your skills and work in Roima’s team. As a person you will fit the role if you have a customer-oriented mindset and active team-player attitude. If you are currently finalizing your studies, we offer the opportunity to do your final thesis as part of your job.

We are looking for: 

• Relevant degree or final stages of studies in IT, automation, industrial engineering or similar 
• Basic understanding of coding and relational databases 
• Fluent English language skills. Finnish language skills are seen as an advantage
• True team-player mindset with willingness to grow in the position towards building long-term, value-adding partnerships with our customers

In this position you will be employed directly by Roima Intelligence. Roima’s offices are located in Espoo, Turku, Tampere, Pori and Seinäjoki but as we have great remote working possibilities you may choose a location in Finland that suits you the best.
